How to sell on Vinted, and what actually sells.

How do you list an item on Vinted?

A listing takes six things: photos, a title and description, a category and brand, the condition, a price and a parcel size. Vinted may check a new listing against its guidelines first. It says this usually takes up to a minute, though it can sometimes take 3 or 4 days.

1. Photos. Upload clear photos, up to 20. Show any flaw or defect.
2. Title and description. Say what it is in detail. Vinted asks you not to add hashtags of unrelated brands.
3. Category and brand. Pick the closest category. If there is no brand, choose "No brand".
4. Condition. Pick the true one, and mention flaws in the description as well as the photos. A listing that is significantly inaccurate can lead to a return for a refund.
5. Price. See the figures below before you set it.
6. Parcel size. Choose the size that fits. The buyer's shipping cost depends on it.

Identical items cannot be listed separately: make one listing and state the quantity. For toys, electronics and similar items, Vinted says photos of the CE mark can help show EU compliance.

What price sells on Vinted?

Price near what the same model sold for, not what others ask. Across the 68 electronics models with both figures on vinted.pt, the median price of listings that sold was about 12% below the median asking price. It was lower for 58 of the 68 models. That covers 1,962 sales.

It is not a rule for every model. The PS5 sold at the usual ask, and the PS5 Pro listings that sold were priced above it, so check your own model on our Vinted price pages, updated daily.

From vinted.pt, read on 4 November 2026: sales from the last 60 days, asking prices from the last 30. "Sold" means Vinted's item page showed the listing as sold when Pouncio checked it again. The price is what the listing asked when first seen, so an offer or a cut before the sale is not seen, and sales after our check are missed. These are electronics only: we do not have the same figures for clothes.

Your buyer also pays on top of your price. On the EU sites the fee is €0.70 plus 5%, so a €100 item costs them €105.70 before shipping. Our Vinted fees guide has a calculator.

How do you sell faster on Vinted?

Vinted's own advice comes down to good photos, a full description and following up with people who show interest. Its tips include these:

• Send an offer. If someone favourites your item or asks about it, you can send them an offer.
• Lower the price. Vinted says your followers are told when you do.
• Offer a bundle discount. Set one for buyers who take more than one item from you.
• Pay for visibility, if it is worth it. Bumps and Showcase put a listing in front of more buyers. On a low-priced item, work out whether the cost leaves you anything.

How do shipping and payment work?

The buyer pays for shipping, and you have 5 business days to send the parcel. You can ask for 3 or 5 more business days from the conversation, but the new deadline only applies once the buyer accepts. Miss the deadline and Vinted cancels the order automatically and refunds the buyer.

Vinted recommends photographing the item and the packed parcel, inside and out, before you send it, in case the buyer reports a problem in transit.

Once the order is completed, Vinted says you receive the payment within 2 days: the money moves from pending to your available balance. You need to activate your Vinted balance for your first sale.
