What a Vinted bot is
A Vinted bot is software that watches Vinted for you. It reads new listings as they go live, compares each one with what you are looking for, and then does something about the ones that fit: it tells you, sends the seller an offer, or buys.
People who flip on Vinted use bots because the good listings do not last. A good deal sells to someone else in about 4 minutes, and nobody can refresh the app all day and all night. A bot never gets tired of looking, so you can spend your time on the parts that need you: choosing what to flip and reselling it well.
This guide is written by people who build one. Pouncio has read hundreds of thousands of Vinted listings since September, and the questions below are the ones that decide whether a bot helps you or costs you money.
The four kinds of Vinted bot
Under the name “Vinted bot” you will find very different tools. Most fall into one of four kinds, and many mix them.
Alert bots and monitors
They watch a search and ping you when a new listing matches, in an app or on Telegram, Discord or email. You still judge the listing and race to checkout yourself. Our guide to Vinted monitors goes into detail.
Snipers
Built for speed: they act on a new listing within seconds, before most people have seen it. Speed is only half of it, because a fast bad buy is still a bad buy.
Auto-buy bots
They pay for a matching listing by themselves, with the card on your Vinted account, inside limits you set. The most useful kind when the checks are good, and the most expensive when they are not. More on auto-buy on Vinted.
Offer bots
For listings that are close to a deal but not there yet, they send the seller a lower offer and follow up. Vinted refuses offers under 60% of the price, so a useful offer bot stays above that line.
Pouncio does all four from one bot, and you choose what it does with a find. Alerts come on every plan, Free included. Auto-offer and auto-buy start on Plus.
How a Vinted bot works, end to end
Every bot follows roughly the same loop. Here it is, with what Pouncio does at each step.
- You say what you want. Most bots ask for keywords and filters. With Pouncio you write one sentence, such as “iPhone 13, any storage, working”, and the AI turns it into a bot: the right Vinted category, the model variations and a max price for each.
- It watches new listings. The bot reads new listings on the Vinted of the country you live in, in that site's language and currency, within seconds of them going live. Pouncio also reads real listings in your country to pick the categories where sellers actually put your item.
- It matches and prices. A listing has to be the right product and variation, under your max price. On Plus, the true cost adds Vinted's buyer protection fee and shipping to the price, and the price index shows what that model actually sold for.
- It checks. The seller, the listing text and the photos. A request to pay outside Vinted is an instant no at any price, and so are box-only listings, iCloud locks, cracked screens and “for parts”. A cheap price never overrides a red flag.
- It acts. An alert in the app and on Telegram, Discord or email; an offer to the seller; or a purchase, paid with the card on your Vinted account.
- It keeps track. Orders shows every purchase and what happens next. On Plus, one inbox holds the messages and offers from all your accounts.
On the Free plan there is no AI photo check. Each find shows simple checks for the seller, the text, the price and the model, and you look at the photos yourself before you buy by hand.
What to check before you choose a Vinted bot
Bots that look alike on a sales page behave very differently once your card is attached. Ask these seven questions of any bot, ours included. For a side-by-side look at the tools on offer, see our comparison of Vinted bots.
Where does it buy from?
Many bots buy from a server in a data centre, so to Vinted your account is suddenly shopping from a server, not from your home. Pouncio buys from your own browser through its Chrome extension: a pinned Vinted tab, your connection, your session, your device. Everything else runs from a home IP in your country, one per account.
How fast is it, really?
Ask for the time from a listing going live to paid, not to a notification. An alert that arrives in seconds still leaves you racing everyone to checkout. Pouncio averages 4.3 seconds from listing to paid.
Does it check for scams?
A bot that buys on keywords alone buys empty boxes and locked phones. Look for one that reads the photos and the text and looks at the seller. On expensive items Pouncio also refuses prices too far below value, and sellers with a low rating or no reviews. Our guide on how to spot a Vinted scam lists the traps.
Can you test it first?
You should see what a bot would buy before it spends anything. Every new Pouncio bot starts in test mode: a dry run that shows what it would have bought and the profit, and buys nothing until you switch it live.
What are the limits?
Look for a max price per model, a daily budget, one purchase per item and an off switch. Pouncio never goes over a variation's max price or the account's daily budget, never buys the same item twice, even with several accounts, and one button pauses every bot on every account.
What does it cost?
Free tiers, trials and monthly plans vary a lot. Pouncio's Free plan is not a trial: 1 account, 1 bot and alerts on every channel, and you buy finds by hand. Plus costs €49.99 a month and buys for you; Pro costs €129.99 a month. Compare the plans.
Is it honest about risk?
Automating Vinted is against Vinted's terms, and an account can get blocked. Pouncio keeps the risk low, but it is never zero, and a bot that promises to be “undetectable” or “zero risk” is promising something nobody can. Read whether a Vinted bot is legal for the longer answer.
How to start with a Vinted bot
- Sign in. Pouncio signs you in with an email link or a 6-digit code; there is no Pouncio password. You log in to Vinted on Vinted's own page, and Pouncio keeps an encrypted session, never your password.
- Describe one product. One sentence is enough. Look over the variations and max prices the AI proposes before you go further.
- Watch it in test mode. Finds arrive in the app and on Telegram, Discord or email. Your best finds come first, with which ones sold and how fast.
- Go live when the numbers convince you. On Plus, pair the extension with the 8-character code from the app and switch the bot live. Keep the computer on with the browser open: if the browser is closed, buying pauses until it is back, and alerts keep coming.
Profits in the app are estimates, and many deals are still bought by someone else first. Plus and Pro come with the €50 guarantee: if your bots don't find a deal with €50 profit or more in your first 30 days, your first month is refunded.
